Bald Butte Lavender Farm

Our Lavender Hydrosol is a product of Down by the River Lavender Farm. It was the gentle, water-based, aromatic co-product of essential oil created during the steam distillation of Lavandula x intermedia – Super cultivar. In general, hydrosol contains many water-soluble botanical compounds, including a small amount of essential oil. Unlike concentrated essential oils, earthy scented hydrosol is gentle enough to be used directly on the skin without dilution. However, you should always check for skin sensitivity before using this product. Due to its water content, hydrosol has a shorter shelf life (6-12 months) than oil, and therefore, the blue tinted bottles should be stored in a cool and dark area.
