Bald Butte Lavender Farm

Our Lavender Farm Tour has been cancelled indefinitely due to events beyond our control. Bald Butte Lavender Farm experienced two weather related set backs during the 2023 winter and spring. An extremely cold winter with lack of adequate snow cover resulted in a 25% loss in our lavender crop. We have replaced the badly damaged and dead plants, but it will take 3-5 growing seasons for those plants to reach maturity and full productivity. In addition, the “unusual” winter weather was followed by a cold wet spring which delayed flowering of our early blooming cultivars. This event resulted in our lavender crop flowering and harvested in a compressed 3-week time period.
